Council vacancy

The Huber Heights City Council is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the vacancy on the City Council for Ward 3. The

City Council has responsibi­lity for appointing new Councilmem­bers in the event of a vacancy under the Huber Heights City Charter. The Ward 3 City Council seat previously held by Seth Morgan was vacated by his resignatio­n effective Feb. 15.

In accordance with the Huber Heights City Charter, applicants must be qualified electors and must have resided in the City and in Ward 3 for a period of at least one year prior to the appointmen­t. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter expressing interest in the vacant Ward 3 City Council seat and detailing qualificat­ions, along with a resume to the

Huber Heights Clerk of Council no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28. The requested cover letter and resume can be dropped off at the Huber Heights City Hall during normal business hours or submitted by mail, fax or email to the Clerk of Council using the following contact informatio­n: Anthony C.
