XFL Football, 5 PM on Ch. 19 and Ch. 45; 1 AM on FS1: With Landry Jones under center and coach Bob Stoops on the sideline, the expectatio­ns are high for the Dallas Renegades in the XFL’s inaugural season. The ’Gades host the New York Guardians as the new season progresses. Jones is named after legendary Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry and played for Stoops at Oklahoma. He’s also the first player signed by the XFL, but missed the start of the season with an injury.

Love Goals, 9 PM on OWN; 12 AM on OWN: Spirit, a family and relationsh­ip therapist, counsels five celebrity couples who have reached a crossroads in their relationsh­ips in this new unscripted series. The underlying issues they face range from the stresses of fame and power, incidents of infidelity and communicat­ion problems, and overcoming life-altering trauma that occurred back in childhood. Featured couples include Benzino and Althea Hart (“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”), former NFL star and rapper Dwayne “Money” Bowe and wife Theresa; and former Salt-N-Pepa member Dee Dee “Spinderell­a” Roper and comic Quenton “Q” Coleman.

Saturday Night Live, 11:29 PM on Ch. 2 and Ch. 5: In his iconic role as James Bond, Agent 007, Daniel Craig has a license to kill, but does that extend to a comedy audience? Stepping well outside his usual comfort zone, Craig — who showed moviegoers a slyly funny side of his craft in the 2019 sleeper hit “Knives Out” — fearlessly takes the stage in NBC’s fabled Studio 8H to play with this show’s seasoned sketch comedy veterans. The Weeknd is tonight’s musical guest.
