Dayton’s largest theater organization revealed a new name and logo and announced a 202021 lineup that includes Disney’s “The Lion King,” Tina Fey’s “Mean Girls” and the 10-time Tony Award-winning musical “The Band’s Visit” during a special open house on Tuesday.

The organization known as the Victoria Theatre Association has morphed into Dayton Live.

The functions of the former ticketing site TicketCenterStage and the association’s site VictoriaThreatre.com

have been merged into the much sleeker-looking DaytonLive.org.

Tickets for the following shows to be staged at the Schuster Center are now on sale on DaytonLive.org: “Come From Away,” Oct. 6 to 11; “Anastasia,” Nov. 3 to 8; “Mean Girls,” Nov. 24 to 29; “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Jan 12 to 17, 2021; “Fiddler on the Roof,” Feb. 9 to 14, 2021; “The Band’s Visit,” March 9 to 14, 2021 and The Lion King, May 6 to 23, 2021.

The first of the Projects Unlimited Star Attraction productions planned for the Victoria Theatre also were announced: “Cirque

Dreams Holidaze,” Dec. 14 to 24 and Dec. 26 and 27 and “Stomp,” April 9 to 11.

In a statement, Ty Sutton, the organization’s president and CEO, said Dayton Live “evokes the energy of live events while boldly

declaring that our thriving downtown community is the region’s home for arts, culture and entertainment.”

After months of research and conversations with audience members, Real Art, a Dayton-based design and marking firm, was selected to develop the brand and new website in May.

“We found our brand didn’t really reflect the many activities we promote or venues we operate as an organization,” Sutton said. “Dayton Live is a vibrant brand under which all of our venues and community partners will be able to grow.”

“Ticket buyers can search DaytonLive.org by performance name, art form, date and a list of presenting organizations that includes Dayton Ballet, Dayton Philharmonic, Dayton Opera, The Human Race Theatre Company and Muse Machine. Dayton Live is the only authorized seller for its venues: Schuster Center, Victoria Theatre, PNC Arts Annex and The Loft Theatre.
