Day Registrati­on is $20. John Welhener of the Greene County Board of Developmen­tal Disabiliti­es will be the guest speaker. Welhener has been working with individual­s with disabiliti­es for over 15 years. He started working with transition age youth (1422) in in-school work programs before transferri­ng to the Greene County Board of Developmen­tal Disabiliti­es. He currently serves as a Transition Coordinato­r where he works closely with Greene County high schools and the business community. Welhener has a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Affairs from Wright State University and a Master’s degree in Secondary Special Education and Transition Services from George Washington University. Presentati­on Summary: The Greene County Board of Developmen­tal Disabiliti­es is in the process of creating a social network called All Hands In, which is designed to help individual­s with disabiliti­es develop social capital so they can have greater access to relationsh­ips and community resources. This presentati­on will explain how collaborat­ing with the All Hands In Network is mutually beneficial and how businesses and individual­s can get involved.
