‘Spring with Kindness’

- CONTRIBUTED

Two Lebanon based community organizations – A Brush of Hope and PSU - will work together the week of March 23 to hold an event called Spring With Kindness. The event is open to the public and will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. March 23-27. The event will be held in the activity shelter at Harmon Park, 200 S. East St.

Spring With Kindness is an outreach project for families to paint kindness rocks together. “The activity will be fun for children of all ages and their parents or guardians to join us as we work to spread kindness,” said Aimee Lowrance, Executive Director of A Brush of Hope.

“We are partnering with PSU to host this event and are excited for a big turnout. If the weather is bad, we will be able to move the event indoors to PSU’s facility on Columbus Avenue,” said Lowrance. “Children and their families will each get to paint two palm size rocks, and all materials will be supplied. On March 27, we will distribute the rocks all over downtown Lebanon, and then return to the park for refreshments. Each rock will have a label that will hashtag our agencies. When someone encounters one of these rocks, it brings joy and happiness. The second rock will go home with the families. We felt it would be a wonderful way to celebrate spring.”

There is no fee to participate, but registration is required to ensure that there are enough materials for everyone. Register online at www.abrushofhope.org.
