Virus brings challenges, chances to learn

-

Over the last two weeks every inch of our lives has been impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19), but I am proud of our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents. With that said, it is also important to let you know that even with our city buildings being closed residents can still contact offices by phone and email. All staff contact information can be found on our website www.hhoh.org. We continue to focus on providing outstanding customer service to our residents.

Public safety personnel, who continue serving the public, are in a class of highrisk exposure and it is critical that the city protect the workforce first for the safety of employees, and to prevent undue disruptions to staffing resulting in diminished delivery of services. EMS currently has transportation restrictions in place in order to ensure vehicles remain in service. Non-emergency calls or requests for a police officer to respond for the purpose of investigation or documentation of complaints and incidents will be handled remotely by phone and/or other methods such as email.

With this situation comes great challenges, but also many learning opportunities that create ways for us to streamline services that allow for better customer service.

As a city, we will continue to update the community through our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hhohcity) and website (hhoh.org) as quickly as possible.
