Greene County Public Health officials announced recently that food training courses will resume in July. However, in order to maintain proper social distancing measures, the location for the next ServSafe Manager’s Certification Course scheduled for July 15 and 22 (two-day class) has been changed. The class will now be held in the auditorium at the Herman N. Menapace Health Education Center located at 1140 N. Monroe Drive in Xenia. This location allows for greater availability of space to maintain proper social distancing of 6 feet between participants.
To keep all participants and employees safe, facial coverings will be strongly recommended when entering or leaving the class, but participants may remove them once seated during class. Temperatures will be taken of all participants at the registration area and if any participant’s temperature is 100.4 degrees or higher, they will not be permitted to take the class and will have to return home to reschedule for a later date. Hand sanitizer will be available at the registration table. Registered participants are encouraged to stay home if they are ill.
