MARRIOTT HOTEL PLANNED FOR BUSY MIAMISBURG AREA
The development calls for 111 suites, 129 parking spaces at the Austin interchange.
A new Residence Inn by Marriott is proposed near
Yaskawa Motoman and the Miami Valley Hospital at Austin Center in Miamisburg.
The Miamisburg Planning Commission was reviewing plans and holding a public hearing Monday for the four-story building, complex and grounds.
The project is to be located off the northwest corner of the roundabout intersection of Automation Way and Austin West Boulevard.
In addition to Yaskawa, the Marriott would join a Home2 Suites by Hilton and a Miami Valley Hospital branch off the roundabout and west of Interstate 75 and the Austin Boulevard interchange.
“It’s the next step as that area fills in,” Miamisburg City Planner Ryan Homsi said Monday.
Like the Home2 Suites, the Residence Inn would be developed by the Century Hotel Group, based in West Chester Township in Butler County.
The development calls for 111 suites, 129 parking spaces and one acre of open space on 3.2 acres.
The Residence Inn and Home2
Suites are to serve people attending meetings at Yaskawa and other businesses around the interchange, opened in 2010.

With approval, the developer can apply for building permits needed before construction can begin. It was unclear when the developer planned to break ground.
