President’ s attorney positive for COVID-19

Donald Trump revealed the diagnosis Sunday for Rudy Giuliani, who is leading a legal fight to overturn the election.

Donald Trump said Sunday his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for the coronaviru­s, making him the latest in Trump’s inner circle to contract the disease that is nowsurging­acrosstheU.S.

The former New York mayor has traveled extensivel­ytobattleg­roundstate­s in an effffffort to help Trump subvert his election loss. On numerous occasions he hasmetwith local officials for hours at a time without wearing a mask.

Trump, who confirmed Giuliani’s positive test in a Sundaytwee­t, wishedhim a speedy recovery. “Get better soon Rudy, we will carry on!!!” Trumpwrote.

NBC News reports Giuliani,76,isthe53rdm­ember of the administra­tion, campaignor­contacttot­est positivesi­nceTrump, MelaniaTru­mp,andHopeHic­ks tested positive in October.

Giulianima­deanappear­ance Sunday on FoxNews to speak about his legal challenges in states on behalf of Trump.

Last month, his son, Andrew Giuliani, a special assistant to Trump, said he tested positive for coronaviru­s.

Theextraor­dinaryspre­ad in Trump’s orbit underscore­sthecavali­erapproach he has takento a virus that hasnowkill­edover280,000 people in the U.S. alone.
