Ch. 12: After two dead bodies are found in an otherwise idyllic forest, an investigat­ion by members of the NCIS teamsoon draws them into the strange and surprising­ly wildworld ofmodernda­y treasure hunting in the newepisode“Blood and Treasure.” Elsewhere, Gibbs and Fornell (Mark Harmon, recurring guest star Joe Spano) make their way deeper into their own search for an opioid kingpin. TomWilson, Sheva Cohen and Anthony Konechny also guest star; Sean Murray and Emily Wickersham also star.

Many people consider this 1938 version their favorite screen adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic. Count June Lockhart (“Lost in Space”) among them: She made her film debut at age 12 as one of the children of Bob and Emily Cratchit, played by her real-life parents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart. Reginald Owen stars as Christmas-hating curmudgeon Ebenezer Scrooge. The film begins an evening of Charles Dickens film adaptation­s that also includes “David Copperfiel­d,”“Great Expectatio­ns” and“Oliver Twist.”

After they apprehend the leader of a violent drug cartel, the entire staff at FBI headquarte­rs finds itself at risk as the felon’s henchmen make an attempt to free one of the mostwanted­men in the world in the newepisode “Liar’s Poker.” Meanwhile, Isobel (Alana De La Garza) is forced to consider a difficult choice to sacrifice either her conscience or her career.
