The Civic Center offices at 300 E. Central Ave. will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24-25, and Friday, Jan. 1.

Trash and recycling collection forWest Carrollton residents will be delayed one day on pickups regularly scheduled for Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1. (Friday pickups will be Saturday in both cases.)

The city will pick up cut Christmas trees during the large item/ bulk trash collection week, Jan. 4-8, on residents’ regular collection day. Trees should be free from lights, tinsel and decoration­s. Do not place trees in bags.

The first quarterly large item/ bulk trash collection of the year is Jan. 4-8. Household items such as appliances, carpet, brush, metal and lumber can be included in the bulk trash pickups. Carpet and brush should be cut in 3-4 ft. lengths and bundled. The city will not pick up contractor-generated or remodeling­materials.
