Panini announces updates Lader takes on role

-

Panini, a global payments technology provider, announced that effective Jan. 1 two new highly experienced executives joined the company as chief executive officer and head of international operations, to lead its transformation and continued growth. Additionally, the company will move its headquarters in Torino to a new, modern location.

Panini just concluded an outstanding year in 2020, reporting solid growth in consolidated revenues, EBITDA and cash flow, allowing the Group to position itself as a leading player in the secure payment and identity solutions industries. This was mostly due to the tremendous success of EverneXt, its flagship intelligent scanner, in bank branch check image capture, confirmed dominant market share in the remote deposit capture (RDC) space, and initiation of the company’s first secure identity-related projects.

The company’s new CEO Richard Kane comes to Panini from Canon Solutions America, where he spent the last decade successfully managing sales and operations in various executive roles.

Reporting to Mr. Kane and leading International Operations, another key executive will join Panini on February 1 focusing on strategic marketing, product development, and international sales.

In addition to the promising changes in leadership, Panini is also moving their corporate headquarters to a modern, open building in Torino, Italy, which is better aligned with the company’s fast-paced, technology-driven culture. Located in a renovated, state-of-the-art facility in a former industrial area, the new office space supports effective collaboration thanks to modern amenities and a fresh design based on glass, bright colors and live plants. The company plans to move in April.

Miri Lader, M.D., FAAP, a 2014 graduate of the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM) will become the director of medical student education with the BSOM Department of Pediatrics. Lader comes into this role from Dayton Children’s Hospital where she is currently a pediatric hospitalist and director of continuing medical education.

Lader, who started her new role this month shared, “I was drawn to the position because the education that I received at BSOM needs to be carried on.” Lader takes on the position formerly held by Erica Taylor, M.D., ’05, who is now the assistant dean of diversity and inclusion for BSOM.

While completing rotations at Dayton Children’s Hospital as a BSOM medical student, Lader fell in love with the field of pediatrics. “Kids are all little miracles, and I wanted to spend my days watching miracles take place,” said Lader. She felt a strong sense of belonging while at Dayton Children’s Hospital as a student. Because of this she chose to stay on for her internship and residency training. Lader became chief resident and remained on staff full-time after graduation.

As director of medical student education, Lader will be responsible for designing, managing and evaluating the program, as well as communicating expectations of the pediatric clerkship to BSOM students, faculty, staff and administration.

Lader attended Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Ethics. his Communications Director in the House of Representatives and as Communications Director in leadership for the House Republican Conference.
