Q. What year did you graduate from Stebbins High School? A. 2002

Q. Tell us about your education: A. Stebbins HS Grad Machine Tech Program, Sinclair Step II Program graduate

Q. What is your current position? A. Advanced Manufacturing and Machining Instructor

Q. Why did you want to come back to teach the Manufacturing program at your Alma mater?

A. I wanted to return to Stebbins HS and teach because this is where my passion for Manufacturing and Machining started. I strive to inspire every student that comes in my class room the same way I was years ago by teaching them beneficial skills so they too can succeed in the industry.

Q. What benefits did you receive from your high school Manufacturing internship and or program?

A. Graduating from this program helped lay the foundation of my success in this field by giving me applicable skills to become anything I wanted in this trade. From hands on school lab projects to interning at local tool shops and running CNC machines. These real world experiences have helped elevate me throughout my career. Q. Why should students participate in career technical education?

A. Technical and trade careers are in high demand and they also provide excellent compensation and benefits. Most of these jobs can be obtained by successfully completing a high school trades program with very little to no college. Career tech schools open up so many great opportunities for students to get on the job training in an apprentice program or even have their college paid for through an employer. Without a doubt career technical programs can create a bright future for students who participate in them.
