Countryside YMCA is set to hold its first virtual “Thurby” Fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29, just days before the Kentucky Derby, to raise the funds needed to sponsor outreach programs for Warren County.

The hour-long virtual event includes:

■ Mixology lesson to make the perfect Buckeye Vodka Cooler

■ Online Horse Racing Game by MeetMax Games

■ Guest Speaker

■ Live and Silent Auction

■ Best Derby Dressed Ensemble

■ Kentucky Derby Trivia

Proceeds from the event help to support the YMCA Annual Campaign, which provides funding for the many outreach programs and services offered at the Y, such as summer camp scholarships, preschool outreach, and membership financial aid.

One unique program supported by the Annual Campaign is the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program which gives cancer survivors a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.

Registration is $25. If you cannot attend the Thurby, you can still bid on silent auction items. Anyone can attend the event; you do not have to be a Countryside YMCA member. Purchase tickets or register for the silent auction at at YMCATHURBY.givesmart.com
