BELLBROOK Purple Star designation
The Ohio Department of Education has renewed the Purple Star designation for Bellbrook High School and Stephen Bell Elementary. The award recognizes the schools’ commitment to serving military-connected students and families.
Ohio’s Purple Star Advisory Board established a set of criteria that schools must meet to be considered for a Purple Star designation. In Ohio, only 431 schools have the Purple Star Designation. Bellbrook Middle School and Bell Creek Elementary are also currently Purple Star Schools.

Greene County Veterans Services has released the inaugural class of the Greene County Veterans Hall of Fame. These 26 outstanding inductees will be honored for their accomplishments and achievements at an Induction Ceremony on April 30.

The Greene County Veterans Hall of Fame recognizes Greene
County Veterans who have served in the military and then, after completing their military service, went on to distinguish themselves by further service to their communities in many different ways.
The foundational class recognizes those Greene County Veterans who have distinguished themselves by being previously selected for the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.
The Greene County Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be conducted on Saturday April 30 in the media room of the Greene County Social Service Center located at 571 Ledbetter Road, Xenia. The doors open at 1 p.m. with the ceremony starting at 2 p.m.
