The Great American Tag Sale With Martha Stewart, 8 PM on Ch. 22 and Ch. 9:

As any Martha Stewart fan would imagine, the woman who does everything more beautifull­y than the rest of us has amassed quite a trove of furniture, artworks, housewares and other collectibl­es over the years. Now, however, Stewart is looking to part with several items, and this special follows her as she puts together one of the most upscale tag sales ever held. Stewart shares stories of how she acquired some of the items, along with practical tips for viewers on how to pull off a tag sale of their own.

MasterChef, 8 PM on Ch. 19:

The hit culinary competitio­n opens a new season with a historymak­ing theme, inviting back 20 familiar All-Stars who fell short in their earlier appearance on the show, but now are seeking redemption. The mix even includes two cooks who appeared in the junior edition of “Masterchef,” but now are competing as adults. Challenges include feeding hungry members of the Coast Guard and vying in a restaurant takeover challenge at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago eatery. Host Gordon Ramsay joins the returning Aarón Sánchez and Joe Bastianich on the judges panel.

The American Rescue Dog Show, 9 PM on Ch. 22 and Ch. 9:

Rob Riggle and Joe Tessitore (“Holey Moley”) host this preeminent canine competitio­n that features rescued doggie companions strutting their stuff and competing for a number of “best in” titles — in addition to stealing viewers’ hearts on a felonious scale. Categories featured in this two-hour special include Best in Underbite, Best in Snoring and Best in Belly Rubs, among others. The winner in each category will be honored with a $10,000 donation to a local animal rescue organizati­on, with an additional $10,000 donation made in honor of the overall winner.
