Small business grants awarded

The Warren County Foundation in cooperatio­n with the Duke Energy Foundation is making 11 Small Business Assistance Grants in the Franklin-Carlisle area.

Revitaliza­tion Grants program is made possible from a $25,000 grant to the Warren County Foundation.

A formal check presentati­on is scheduled for 3 p.m. July 12 at the Anderson Life Celebratio­n Center, 360 Commerce Center Drive, in Franklin. Applicatio­ns were submitted for considerat­ion by the selection committee, which includes representa­tives from the city of Franklin, city of Carlisle, Franklin Township, Chamber 45005, and the Warren County Foundation. Eleven small business grants will be made, with six $3,000 grants and five $1,400 grants.

“Duke Energy has a long history of giving back to the communitie­s we serve. We’re proud to partner with the Warren

County Foundation to support area small businesses and help keep our communitie­s vibrant,” said Amy Spiller, president of Duke Energy Ohio and Kentucky.

The recipients of the grants include: Amara Salon & Day Spa; Area Athletics; B-Safe Driving Education; Busy J’s Inc. Dairy Queen; DoublePlay Records & Retro; Farm on Central; Fur Ree Friends Grooming Salon; Pisanello’s Pizza; Revolution Group Fitness, LLC; Simply Brown Tanning & More; and Stone Valley Meadows.

“We appreciate the support from the Duke Energy Foundation, the collaborat­ion from the Franklin-Carlisle area, and are glad we can help area small businesses,” said Tom Seddon, Warren County Foundation president & CEO.
