A. Vandalia Butler High School, Ohio University, Wilberforc­e University

Q. Where have you worked before this job?

A. My father and I owned a software house, K&N Systems, Inc. I also worked at Vantiv, now Fiserv, a payments processor.

Q. Could you give some personal background?

A. I am married.

Q. Are you involved in any community organizati­ons?

A. I am a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Vandalia Butler Historical Society.

Q. What are your hobbies?

A. I enjoy walking, reading, yoga, and camping.

Q. Where did you grow up?

A. Vandalia, Ohio

Q. List your favorite book, or movie:

A. East of Eden, John Steinbeck; Bonfire of the Vanities, Tom Wolfe; A Prayer for Owen Meany, John Irving; The Rabbit Series, John Updike; and all Agatha Christie.

Q. Why do you love working in Mad River?

A. I love the sense of community and caring that is Mad River Local Schools.

Q. Tell me about your current job/position. What attracted you to it?

A. I work in the Human Resources department as an administra­tive assistant to the Director of Human Resources. Q. What is most rewarding about your job/position; what makes it all worthwhile?

A. I enjoy meeting and working with new applicants and existing staff in all capacities. I like that my job is different every day.

Q. What’s the hardest part of your job?

A. Wanting to do right by everyone so that they don’t need to worry.

Q. Who was your favorite teacher growing up?

A. My third-grade teacher, Mrs. Anderson.

Q. Who has helped you most during your personal or profession­al career?

A. My co-workers Mary, Sandy and Necia

Q. Tell me something about yourself that people might not readily know:

A. I have a bachelor’s degree in business management and my mom worked as a principal in the Mad River Local School District.
