Beavercreek Police Department 2022 awards
The Beavercreek Police Department recently recognized several agency members for their accomplishments in 2022 at the annual department meeting.
Officer Justin Tolley was named 2022 Officer of the Year for his selflessness, determination, commitment, professionalism, integrity and overall dedication to the department and the community.
Property and resource clerk Deb Barber was recognized as 2022 Civilian of the Year for excellence in managing and maintaining department and evidentiary property, fleet and equipment, and uniforms and accessories, as well as her initiative and team spirit.
Doug Musser was named 2022 COPP of the Year in recognition of his hard work, enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication of his time and talents to community policing, preventive initiatives and special events throughout the year.
Citizens on Preventive Patrol is a volunteer group of private citizens who assist the officers of the Beavercreek Police Department.
Communications operator Libby Chapman was recognized for her 25 years of service to the department and the city.
The Chief ’s Award of Merit was presented to Captains Chad Lindsey, Scott Molnar and Shawn Sumner, and to executive assistant Karen Mahaffey.

Faith Lammert received a department commendation for rendering life-saving aid to a choking woman in the police building lobby.
