ODOT construction projects continue in Warren County
The Ohio Department of Transportation is advising motorists to be aware of upcoming highway construction projects in Warren County, which will involve changes in traffic patterns or road closures.

The construction projects include:
Irwin Simpson Road/ Township Road 55 bridge rehabilitation: Starting Monday through May 30, the bridge on Irwin Simpson Road over Interstate 71, between Fields Ertel and Socialville-Fosters roads will be closed. While the route is closed, motorists can use the detour by way of Duke Boulevard, Innovation Way, Socialville Foster Road and Columbia Road. Intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions will also be in place on I-71 at the overpass structure. All work is scheduled to be completed by early fall of 2024.
Ohio 63 widening: Construction crews will be working from Union Road at the city of Monroe to just east of the intersection with Ohio 741. Preliminary work is underway with utility relocation and clearing/grubbing within the work zone. Shoulder closures and intermittent lane restrictions may be in effect during daytime, working hours, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2025.
Ohio 73 bridge rehabilitation: Crews will also be working at the bridge over Corwin Nixon Road and the Little Miami Scenic Trail, near the junction with Smith Road. Ohio 73 is reduced to one lane, with traffic maintained by temporary signals. Smith Road is closed at its junction with Ohio 73, and traffic will be detoured by way of Clarksville and Corwin Nixon roads. However, the Little Miami Scenic Trail remains open to bicyclists and pedestrians.
