County Engineer Goff set to speak to Democrats
Wonder who to call about that pothole in front of your house? The answer is easy. Visit the Greene County Engineer’s website. Click on any road or street on the interactive map and you will immediately learn who is responsible for the maintenance of your street or road. It might be your township, your city, the Ohio Department of Transportation, or the Greene County Engineer’s office.
The County Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of 324 miles of county roads and 283 bridges. This responsibility includes the repair, replacement, and improvement of roads and bridges as well as snow and ice removal during the winter.
The Greene County Democratic Party will host County Engineer Stephanie Goff at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at Wilberforce Community Center, 1208 Wilberforce Clifton Road. Goff will speak on infrastructure investment in Greene County, as well as upcoming projects and responsibilities for the Greene County Engineer and Highway Department. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions. Light refreshments will be served. RSVPs are requested, but not required at https://mobilize. us/s/sjHWQK.
This presentation is part of the Local Issues Local Strategies series hosted by the Greene County Democratic Party. The purpose of the series is to provide information about services we often take for granted but are seldom aware of who is providing this work for us. GCDP Chair Kim McCarthy hopes the sessions provide information that will attract voters and emerging leaders to invest in our community and county.
