ACCF donates to Cancer Services
The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) is pleased to announce that Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana (NE IN) has received a grant to support their client advocate program. The client advocate program assesses and identifies the full range of family needs, works with clients on an ongoing basis to assure needs are met, provides supportive counsel to clients and families, and enhances quality of life by providing valuable resources, information, and compassionate assistance to cancer patients. If you or someone you know has cancer and is in need of the Client Advocate Program at Cancer Service of NE IN, please call Cancer Services at: (260) 484-9560.
Stacey Stumpf, Development and Marketing Director of Cancer Services of NE IN, expressed appreciation to the Adams County Community Foundation for this support on behalf of all the clients served by this grant. Karen Fawcett, ACCF grant committee member noted that she is happy to be a part of an organization like the ACCF what serves cancer patients with a focus on Adams County residents.
This ACCF grant was made possible through unrestricted fund sponsored by the Glen and Phyllis Zimmerman Community Enrichment Fund.
Glen and Phyllis (Gerke) Zimmerman were married in 1956 (49 years) and continued to attend Zion Lutheran Church all their lives. Glen was owner and operator of their farm in Root township and an employee with auto sales while Phyllis was an employee at the General Electric in Decatur Plant for 39 years. The intention of this fund is to provide an annual tribute to this hardworking family, to remember their service to our
community, and to provide continued support for many years into the future.
