LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Adams County Board of Zoning Appeals

Notice is hereby given that the Adams County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on March 21, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. in the Council/Commission­er’s Room 100A, 4th Street Entrance on the 1st floor of the Service Complex, at 313 W. Jefferson St., Decatur. At said time and place said the Board will hear the following: (1) An applicatio­n for Developmen­t Standards Variance DSV-2024-04 filed by D & L Bluhm Farms, Inc at 70 N 300 W. They are wanting to construct a confined feeding operation 350 feet from an existing residence. Per County Land Use Ordinance section 2-16-4-C (2c), confined feeding operation must be 800 feet from an existing residence. The land is located in section 36 of Kirkland Township. (2) An applicatio­n for Developmen­t Standards Variance DSV-2024-05 filed by D & L Bluhm Farms, Inc at 70 N 300

Notice is hereby given that the Adams County Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on March 21, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. or soon after the end of the Board of Zoning Appeals meeting in the Council/Commission­er’s Room 100A, 4th Street Entrance on the 1st floor of the Service Complex, at 313 W. Jefferson St., Decatur. At said time and place said the Board will hear the following: An applicatio­n for an expansion of their Confined Feeding Operation filed by D & L Bluhm Farms, Inc at 70 N 300 W. They are wanting to construct a confined feeding operation barn with an additional 700 head of cattle for a farm total of 950 head of cattle. The land is located in section 36 of Kirkland Township. All written suggestion­s or objections to said applicatio­ns may be filed with the Adams County Plan Commission. Interested persons desiring to present their views on said applicatio­ns, whether in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunit­y to be heard at the above-listed time and place.
