Thomas J. Maracle

WEST PALM BEACH - “Tomohawk” passed away peacefully at his home March 6,2024 age 88.He was predeceased by his parents; Frank and Evelyn Maracle; brother Francis ;brothers and sister-in laws, Jack( Rosemary) and Nelson( Jean); He is survived by his wife of 26 years Leslie; His Children: Cynthia Maracle, (Darrell Panike) Kathleen Maracle, Judy Maracle: and their mother Patricia Maracle. 6 Grandchildren; Cole Panike( Katherine ), Kara Bauscher( Jerid), Carson Heward ( Levi), Cleve Panike, Clay and Scarlett Walsh. 7 Great-Grandchildren. Stepchildren : Laura ( Brian) Haggerty, Jacqueline Friel (Doug Smith) John Friel. Step grandchildren Jack, James and Anna Haggerty.

Tom was born and raised in Rochester, attended St, Ambrose grammar school, Aquinas, East and Webster High Schools. As a teen he started painting cars in his parents garage which lead him to start Maracle Industrial Finishing in Webster in 1959. Painting parts for Kodak, Xerox and Bausch+Lomb to name a few.

Tom was a very witty , fun loving, kind man with a passion for sportsmanship which was obvious with his, downhill skiing, bowling, snowmobiling, racquetball, golf, certified diver, fisherman extraordinaire , private pilot, captain of his many boats. His joy and frustration with his favorite sports teams The Buffalo Bills, Yankee Baseball and Syracuse basketball. His all time favorite was in showing friends and family the wonders of the Bahamas.

Tom served in the National Guard; was a 40 yr. member of Oak Hill Country Club, 20 yr. member of Bear Lakes Country Club, WPB, Fl.: Ducks Unlimited; League Of The Iroquois; and Palm Beach Fishing Club.

Friends may attend St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 25 Empire Blvd. Wednesday April 3, 10:00 a.m. Wake and Funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. Family Burial service at White Haven Memorial Park Thursday April 4, 11:00 a.m.
