Timberlake calls for removal of Confederate statue

Pop star Justin Timberlake is joining a growing chorus of entertainers pushing for the removal of Confederate imagery in Tennessee.

Timberlake, a Memphis-area native who owns a home in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee, shared online an image of Nathan Bedford Forrest’s statue at the state Capitol.

“If we plan to move forward, these Confederate monuments must come down,” Timberlake wrote.

“When we protest racism in America, people think we are protesting America itself. Why is that the reaction? Because America was built by men who believed in and benefited from racism. Plain and simple. This is when you hear ‘But that’s all in the past.’ So let’s be clear ... those men who proudly owned and abused Black people are STILL celebrated all over the country.”

West no longer supports Trump, details his own run

Kanye West continues to deliver sensational details about his 2020 presidential run, despite the lack of an actual campaign.

The rapper, 43, told Forbes that he contracted the coronavirus in February, no longer supports President Donald Trump and plans to run as a member of the “Birthday Party.”

“Because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday,” West said.
