CHICAGO – The Blackhawks have agreed to a two-year contract with forward Landon Slaggert. The entry-level deal runs through the 2024-25 season with a $912,500 salary cap hit. The 21-year-old Slaggert — a South Bend, Indiana, native — had 20 goals and 11 assists in 36 games for Notre Dame this season. Notre Dame concluded its season with a 4-3 loss to Michigan in the Big Ten tournament on Saturday night.

Sunday’s games

Wild 4, Predators 3 (OT): Minnesota pulled its goaltender in overtime and Matt Boldy scored to give the host Wild two points. Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury skated off 3:30 into OT, giving Minnesota a 4-on-3 advantage. Seconds later, Boldy got a pass from Mats Zuccarello and beat Predators goalie Juuse Saros for his 24th goal. Minnesota coach John Hynes made the call in hopes of boosting Minnesota’s pursuit of a wild-card spot, as the Wild entered Sunday eight points out with 18 games to play. Had Nashville scored on the empty net, however, the Wild would not have received a point in the standings for reaching overtime.

Hurricanes 7, Flames 2: Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov each had a goal and two assists to help host Carolina win its third straight game since bolstering its lineup at the trade deadline. Dryden Hunt and Yegor Sharangovich scored for the Flames, who have lost three of their past four games.

Blackhawks 7, Coyotes 4: Colin Blackwell got his first career hat trick and Connor Bedard had two goals and an assist, leading host Chicago its third win in 19 games — two of which are against the Coyotes. Seth Jones had a career-high four assists for Chicago, and Ryan Donato had a goal and an assist. Clayton Keller had two goals for Arizona, running his team-best total to 25 on the season.

Oilers 4, Penguins 0: Connor McDavid had a goal and two assists and Darnell Nurse scored twice in the third period as visiting Edmonton snapped a two-game skid. A day after having his 13-game point streak ended in a loss to Buffalo, McDavid had his 118th game with three or more points, third most in Edmonton history behind Hall of Famers Wayne Gretzky and Jari Kurri. Ex-Red Wing Calvin Pickard made 41 saves for Edmonton. He left the game briefly near the end of the second period after Pittsburgh forward Bryan Rust ran into him at the goal mouth. Pickard returned at the start of the third to finish off his second shutout of the season. Tristan Jarry stopped 38 shots for Pittsburgh. The Penguins were blanked in back-to-back home games for the first time since 2004.
