- Harry Alfred Tuckfield, born September 9, 1930 in Detroit MI, passed away peacefully in the very early morning of March 22, 2024. He was 93 years old and lived in Macomb, MI. Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia (née Brick) Tuckfield, his son Michael Tuckfield, and his brothers John Tuckfield and William Tuckfield. He is survived by his children, Mark (Mary Kay) Tuckfield, Michele (Alan) Katovich, Mary (Chris) Endler, Matthew (Christy) Tuckfield, Margaret Tuckfield (Daniel Mlinar), Paul (Gina) Tuckfield, and Sarah (Chad) Tonkin. He was grandfathe­r to Lauren (Benjamin) Turner, Elizabeth Tuckfield, Aaron Tuckfield, Leah (Benjamin) Joseph, Anna (Caleb) Oem, Michael Tuckfield, Katherine Tuckfield, Jonathan Tuckfield, Lynnia Tuckfield (Kirill Mironov), Henry Tuckfield, Charles Tuckfield, Daisy Tuckfield, Emily Tuckfield, and Nathan Tuckfield. He had 12 great-grandchild­ren.

A member of the US Army from May 1951 - April 1953, Harry served in the Korean War. He later married, achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineerin­g from the University of Detroit, a Master of Business Administra­tion Degree from Wayne State University, and a Profession­al Engineer’s License. He had a steady career providing for his family as an engineer at the Chrysler Sterling Stamping Plant. Once retired from Chrysler, he worked as a contract engineer in various locations including England, which he reminisced of fondly.

Harry loved cars and loved to drive. He enjoyed painting and drawing and shared this gift with his grandchild­ren through art lessons. He enjoyed photograph­y and captured many images while traveling the world with his wife. He very much looked forward dining out many times a week and taking well deserved naps in his favorite chair. Both of which he enjoyed up until his very last days.

There will be a private celebratio­n of his life with family at a later date.
