FRANKLIN - On March 5, 2024, this world lost a truly extraordinary man. Robert Frank Wilke was born to the late Anne and Frank Wilke on October 19, 1953 in Chicago IL. Raised in Medinah IL and West Bloomfield MI, with his parents and sister, Gail, Bob grew up loving hockey, golf, cars, and airplanes. Hearing an airplane overhead would surely see his head pivot toward the sky to locate and identify what type of aircraft was flying by.

Bob met his future wife Jill in 1974 at Western Michigan University where he earned a degree in Accounting and Finance, moving on to complete an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. Bob spent his career doing what he loved; talking with people, building relationships, traveling, and for the latter half, being involved in aviation. He was loved by his family, many friends, and colleagues throughout his career.

Bob is survived by his loving children Claire and Michael, sister Gail (Doug) Gray, as well as his dog Casey and cat Ella. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and cherished wife, Jill. He will be missed by his extended family, colleagues, and all of his friends who loved him.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass and celebration of Bob’s spirit and life which will be held at St Owen Catholic Church, 6869 Franklin Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI between 14 Mile and Maple Roads on Saturday, April 6th at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Brain Trauma Foundation, a 501 3c charitable organization.
