TOP 3 DISNEYLAND WEDDING VENUES

- BY HEATHER ADAMS

Planning a Disneyland Resort wedding means you can choose from a magical selection of venues for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. From classically romantic to uniquely Disney, there’s a venue for every kind of celebration. While Disneyland Park’s Sleeping Beauty Castle may be the wedding spot that fills your social feeds, there are actually plenty of other gems around the resort, from the hotels to spacious attractions inside the parks.

ROSE COURT GARDEN, DISNEYLAND HOTEL

When it comes to Disneyland wedding venues, it doesn’t get any more iconic than the Rose Court Garden. Nestled between the Frontier and Adventure towers of the Disneyland Hotel, this venue is so naturally beautiful that it doesn’t require much in the way of extra decor. Built in the 1990s expressly for weddings, the court features tall walls of greenery to create a semi-enclosed space with a sprawling lawn, a built-in aisle, and a gazebo surrounded by rose bushes that bloom each spring. It’s the only Disneyland wedding venue other than Sleeping Beauty Castle that allows couples to arrive in Cinderella’s Crystal Coach.

BRISA COURTYARD, DISNEY’S GRAND CALIFORNIAN HOTEL & SPA

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into California’s redwood forests when you enter the Brisa Courtyard, which sits outside the Grand Californian, close to the hotel’s Downtown Disney entrance. This large, sunken courtyard features lush pine trees, rustic stone patterns, and golden lanterns that light up the space in the evenings. It’s a little oasis steps from the action — and best of all, the monorail zooms overhead regularly, allowing you to snap some incredible wedding photos with Disneyland’s most iconic mode of transportation.

DISNEY ANIMATION, DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

You might not think the space lends itself to weddings when you step inside Disney Animation — or the Animation Building, as it’s also known — on a busy theme park day. But with the crowds gone and your favorite Disney films playing overhead, this building transforms into an incredible venue. With room for up to 100 guests, continuous (and customized!) animation projections, and your name in lights on the marquee outside, this in-park venue is perfect for those who want an experience you can’t find outside of Disneyland Resort. While the Animation Building is only available for receptions, it’s one of the most creative spaces available for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.
