Resort, Spa & Casino in PUNTA CANA

Situated on the historic Bávaro stretch of the east coast, Lopesan has opened its doors to welcome the world to their new luxury resort in the Dominican Republic. With a pristine coastline right in the heart of Punta Cana, Lopesan merges local culture with European influence, to create an unforgettable sun filled destination where you can enjoy world class amenities, architecture and cuisine.

Lopesan: López and Sánchez

When Eustasio López González lost his father at the age of 13, he decides to pave his own path by joining a construction company in the Canary Islands. Since the company could not afford to pay López, he accepted land in exchange for his labor. That ambition and vision is what brewed within him and resulted in the launched of the first Lopesan hotel. Joining up with his wife and combining their two names to create Lopesan, the duo has kept the company in the family and is currently run by their son.

The destination was designed with every type of traveler in mind. If you are traveling on a couples getaway or escaping on a honeymoon, the adults only options are endless.

For families and travelers looking to entertain their children, the resort offers an impressive water park, kids club, teen club, bowling alley, arcade zone and also child mining.

For those looking for exclusive services and amenities, Lopesan Costa Bávaro offers the UNIQUE club.

Resort

Lopesan hired top American architecture team HKS to bring this outstanding all-inclusive vision to life. Through the layout, architecture and interior design, the building was constructed with one key goal in mind – to create a destination. Shaped like a “W” on 27 acres of beach front property, the resort allows travelers to experience great views and easy access to all amenities. Surrounded by lush greenery and water features, the resort strives to keep you close to nature and serenity. There are 6 fresh water swimming pools and one twotiered 31,000 square foot infinity pool where the resort hosts daily activities and water sports. An impressive 215,300 square feet area was constructed to create the resort’s very own commercial district. This exclusive leisure area, The Boulevard, houses a magnificent casino, a grand theater with a capacity of 790 people, a night club, a few of the a la carte restaurants and bars, an ice cream parlor, coffee shop, candy store, a clinic, highend shopping, the Om Spa and Titan Gym. For children and teens, The Boulevard district also has a 8000 square foot water park that has a padded floor for non-slip fun, a teen zone to hangout on beanbag chairs, an arcade zone, a bowling alley and a kids zone with a mini stage and stations for coloring and reading.

Accommodation

The resort boasts an impressive 1042 modern rooms with various options suited to all travelers. There are 888 Junior Suites with terraces of jungle, garden, pool or ocean.

An unforgettable option is the swimup suites, giving guests direct access to a dip right from your room. Room sizes range from 463 square feet to the generous honeymoon suite with 1291 square feet.

Lopesan offers 8 UNIQUE corner ocean suites with two bathrooms, king size bed, main lounge area and a hot tub on the terrace, not to mention room service is included. The simplistic beach aesthetic décor makes each room feel welcoming, relaxing and most importantly – like a home away from home.

Must Do

Wake up with the sunrise and get an early start. Get your muscles moving at the impressive fitness facility, Titan Gym or stroll along the calm beach front. Put some time aside to fully unwind at the Om Spa. After your treatment the secluded spa pool is available to clear the mind and enjoy some quiet time. For morning drinks and bites, I recommend grabbing your beverage of choice at the coffee bar, Bávaro Coffee and then heading to the main buffet, Caribe for a full extensive breakfast bar with weekly rotating themes.

After spending some time in the sun or in the water, check out the Goldfish beach club which offers shade and a variety of lunch options. If you are taking part in the UNIQUE program I suggest you check out their private beach bar for members only which also includes a private bar and shaded seating area. Find delicious comfort food at the American restaurant, The Valley all while watching your favorite games on the wide screen. After dinner, some decadence is required. Visit the candy store or Iceberg, the ice cream shop for international scoops and sweets. I found during my stay, the options to play, relax and indulge are endless.
