Pitt-Aniston similarities have Hollywood talking

One of Brad Pitt’s curious tendencies emerged when he reunited with Jennifer Aniston Thursday for a star-studded table read of the 1980s teen classic film “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.”

While playing out a flirty scene, but virtually and from different locations, the pretty blond 56-yearold actor managed to bear a striking resemblance to his pretty blond ex-wife. In side-by-side Zoom images, the former Hollywood golden couple shared similar hairstyles, casual outfits and even laugh lines in their gracefully maturing faces.

But that’s a thing about Pitt that his fans have noticed over the years.

Whether it’s Aniston — or Juliette Lewis, Gwyneth Paltrow or Angelina Jolie — Pitt has always tended to adopt a look that resembles in some way the woman he is dating or is married to at the moment. That was especially so with Aniston, to whom he was married from 2000 to 2005.

It will be interesting to see if this tendency continues if and when Pitt starts going public with his reported new girlfriend, 27-year-old German model Nicole Poturalski.

This tendency was on display for the “Fast Times” table read. Of course, it’s hard to think it was intentional, given that Pitt and Aniston, 51, went through a pretty nasty breakup before they reportedly started getting friendly again, sharing touching moments together at the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards earlier this year.

For the table read, Pitt arranged his highlighted, shoulder-length locks to frame his face in a way similar to how Aniston’s center-parted highlighted hair framed hers.

Clearly, Pitt and Aniston were having fun taking part in the event with other A-listers, including Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, John Legend and Morgan Freeman, who took on the role of narrator.

Pitt played the hardworking, nice-guy teen Brad Hamilton, who has a sexual fantasy about his little sister’s best friend, Linda Parrett. Aniston handled the part of Linda.

The event, organized by Dane Cook, was a fundraiser for charities CORE and Reform Alliance in their efforts to alleviate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
