Judith Vaughn

Beloved mom, grandma, and great grandma (“Grammy”) Judy passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov 21st, with her family by her side, after a short recurrence of Lymphoma. She was born in Watertown, South Dakota, and was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Margaret Solheim. She is survived by her children, Laurie (Dave) Corvello, Kathy (Mike) Trujillo, Patty (Jon) DiFrancesco, Jennifer (John) Kaiser, and Jimmy (Renee) Vaughn, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. Judy raised her children in San Pablo (Tara Hills) while working full-time at Bank of America. After a 25 year career at BofA, she worked at her brother-in-law’s law firm in San Francisco until her retirement at the age of 73.

Grammy Judy’s greatest joy in life was her family, and they were everything to her: her children, grandchildren, great-grandsons, and in-laws. She overcame cancer the first time so she could meet her first great-grandchildren, and even after that never missed a family event or a family vacation. She had a great sense of humor and was always up for a good discussion, whether about history, cars, or current events, and never showed up without treats for the kids. Judy was one of the most selfless people you could meet, even taking in her ex-husband and gently caring for him until he passed due to cancer. She gave everything she had to those around her. She didn’t have much in material wealth, but she was rich with the love and adoration of her extended family, including her sons- and daughter-in-law. Judy was determined to beat cancer a second time so she could meet two more greatgrandchildren that are on the way. Sadly she wasn’t able to, but they will certainly know and love her through the stories the rest of the family will share. She was so very loved by her family and will be missed tremendously.

A devoted Catholic, Judy will be interned at Tulocay cemetery in Napa, near her parents who she always looked forward to reuniting with. Services will be private.
