Theresa Dianda

-

Theresa passed away peacefully, in her home with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Sir Robert Dianda, KSG and her brothers, Joseph and Vincent Covione.

She is survived by her 5 children, Joseph Dianda (Lisa), Donna Santich (Michael), Louis Dianda (Mari Ann), Judith Felan (Bob) and Jane Dianda. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-laws, Helen Dianda and Anita Covione, her loving cousin Annette Maggiora, and dear friend Irene Sarubbi along with many nieces and nephews.

She was a charter member of Branch #91 of the Italian Catholic Federation and worked very hard during her years as an officer of her branch. She leaves behind many friends throughout the entire ICF.

Theresa was an amazing cook and was well known for her raviolis, frittatas and minestrone soup. One of her favorite pass times was playing bridge with her closest friends, ‘the bridge ladies’, and did so on a weekly basis for over 40 years.

Theresa was a very devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will always be deeply cherished by the entire family. She will be remembered as a very loving and gentle lady, and as many have said, “one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet”. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Theresa will be cremated and then entombed with her husband at Christ the Light Cathedral in Oakland, CA. In lieu of services, the family requests a Mass to be said in her name or donations made to the ICF Scholarship Fund, 8393 Capwell Drive, Suite 110 Oakland, CA 94621.
