Cal’s Foreman hits 3 at buzzer to beat USF

Makale Foreman scored his first points of the game on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer that gave California its only lead of the game and a 72-70 win over San Francisco on Sunday.

Foreman missed his first six shots of the game, including five attempts from 3-point range, for the Golden Bears (3- 4).

Andre Kelly led Cal with 22 points and seven rebounds. Grant Anticevich added 18 points and seven boards, and Matt Bradley scored 17 points.

Jamaree Bouyea had 11 of his career-high 24 points while the Dons (53) jumped to their largest lead at 21-9 lead, and Bouyea closed the half with a three- quarter- court heave that gave San Francisco a 37-29 lead.

USC, STANFORDGA­ME POSTPONED >> Stanford’s game at USC on Sunday was postponed two hours before tipoff because USC did not have enough scholarshi­p players due to COVID-19 protocol and associated contact tracing.

The schools and the Pac12 will attempt to reschedule the game.

CAL POLY 75, SAN JOSE 71 >> Alimamy Koroma had 19 points off the bench to lead Cal Poly to a 75-71 win over San Jose State on Sunday.

Koroma hit 9 of 10 free throws. He added seven rebounds and three blocks.

Brantly Stevenson had 17 points and eight rebounds for Cal Poly (2-2). Richard Washington had 24 points for the Spartans (1-2).

FLORIDA’S JOHNSON STABLE AFTER ON- COURT COLLAPSE >> Florida forward Keyontae Johnson remained in critical but stable condition at a hospital, the team reported Sunday, one day after he collapsed on the court during a game at Florida State.

There was no change in Johnson’s condition from Saturday at Tallahasse­e Memorial. No details have been released about what might have caused Johnson to crumple to the floor as teams came out of a timeout early in the game.

Gabe Brown scored a career-high 20 points, and No. 4 Michigan State used a 13- 0 run early in the second half to pull away to a 109-91 victory over Oakland on Sunday.

Luka Garza scored 23 points and Joe Wieskamp added 20 as No. 3 Iowa beat Northern Illinois in Iowa City. Iowa is 6- 0, NIU is 0-5.

Miles McBride scored 20 points and West Virginia rode a hotshootin­g first half to victory over No. 19 Richmond in Morgantown, W.Va. Taz Sherman added 15 points and Sean McNeil and Oscar Tshiebwe each scored 12 points for the Mountainee­rs (5-1). Richmond fell to 4-1.
