Luigi Mario Delucchi

Luigi, a beloved husband, father and Papa passed away, at his home that he loved, surrounded by the overwhelming love of his family and with the faith that he is now in the arms of our loving God.

Luigi was born in Oakland to Silvio and Angela Delucchi and grew up in Pleasant Hill. He graduated from De La Salle High School and Sacramento State University. He worked at Macy’s for many years as a buyer where he made lifelong friends. In 2001 he started his own business, CLM Group, and was proud of its success. Moreover, he was proud of the contribution that his and the company’s efforts made toward the success of his clients and the small businesses that he helped to prosper.

Lou was authentically a good man. He was honest, loyal, forgiving and had a compassionate heart for everyone whom he encountered. He worked hard for his family and created a warm and safe home. He loved his garden, especially when it was full of blooming color. Lou loved to cook his favorite foods, craft something beautiful and travel. This past year Lou was deeply concerned and prayed for the county he loved so much. He always looked for the light to overcome the darkness. He was an optimist, and that spirit gave strength and energy to his family and friends.

Lou was a cherished husband to his wife of 42 years, Diane Delucchi. He was a dedicated father to his daughter Andrea and her husband Chris Hand and to his daughter Lauren and her husband Conan Graham. His special joy was his granddaughter Madison Graham. His happiest times were when he was in their company.

Lou will be missed by his sister, Maria Delucchi (Ayman Kahale), brothers-in-law, Robert (Irma) DeBenedetti and Rico (Dena) DeBenedetti & nephews, Tony Maki, Giovanni Maki, Dominic DeBenedetti & nieces, Angelia Collett and Alyssa Prince, his mother-in-law & gardening buddy, Jackie DeBenedetti & finally, many cousins in Italy. Lou’s life was blessed by the many dear family and friends whose companionship, faith and love enriched his life.

A memorial will be scheduled after COVID subsides. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or to St. Vincent de Paul at Christ the King Parish in Pleasant Hill.
