Three men wounded in shootings

OAKLAND >> Three men were shot in a four-hour period Saturday night and early Sunday in different areas of the city, authoritie­s said.

The men were all taken to a hospital where they were in stable condition Sunday. The shootings do not appear to be related, authoritie­s said.

About 12:20 a.m. Sunday a 23-year-old man was found shot in the 6600 block of San Leandro Street in East Oakland, not far from the Coliseum.

His vehicle was located nearby. Police were investigat­ing if he may have been shot at another location and was able to drive to where he was found.

No motive has been determined yet in the shooting and no arrests have been made.

About 9:36 p.m. Saturday a 32-year-old man was shot multiple times outside his home in the 3100 block of 73rd Avenue.

He was able to make it inside the residence, where police were called. A motive for the shooting has not been determined and no arrests have been made.

The other shooting happened about 8:39 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of 47th Street in North Oakland.

Officers responding to a ShotSpotte­r alert found a 30-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.

He had just parked his vehicle and was outside when someone, possibly in a passing vehicle, began shooting at him, authoritie­s said. The man’s vehicle was also hit by the gunfire.

A motive for the shooting is under investigat­ion and no arrests have been made.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money in each shooting for informatio­n leading to the arrests of the suspects. Anyone with informatio­n may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510777-8572.
