Chris Daughtry has apparently played his last show for 2021, having decided to postpone this year’s concerts as he deals with the recent death of his daughter.

Daughtry — the “American Idol” star’s self-named band — was scheduled to perform in the Bay Area next month. But the show will be rescheduled for sometime in early 2022.

“In light of recent events, Daughtry’s ‘Dearly Beloved’ Tour will be rescheduling the remainder of this year’s shows, including the performance scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at San Jose Civic, into early 2022,” a news release reads. “New dates will be announced in the coming days.

“Chris and his family appreciate all the love and support fans have shown during this difficult time. They thank the fans for their understanding and look forward to seeing them again on the road.”

Daughtry already postponed one batch of shows following the sudden loss of his daughter Hannah Marie Price. But the initial announcement just dealt with the shows that were scheduled for this week.

Price, 25, reportedly was found dead in her Nashville home, but many other details have yet to be released. Police are investigating the matter. Price’s boyfriend has been taken into custody but has not been charged with any crime, and neither police nor the Fentress County,

Tennessee, medical examiner’s office has ruled the death a homicide.

Daughtry posted on Instagram about the tragic loss of his daughter, saying he was “absolutely devastated and heartbroken.”

“I just recently lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately.

“We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family.

“Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss.”
