MARON ALTON “AL” HARPER

Maron Alton “Al” Harper, age 89 of El Dorado, AR passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his residence. Al was born on February 12, 1935 in Saline, LA to the late Callie Frey Harper and Elbert Grady Harper. Al was the owner and operator of South Arkansas Brace Company for many years and was a longtime member of West Side Baptist Church. He especially enjoyed being involved with West Side’s Golden Agers group and their many mission trips to south Texas. Al enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and took great pride in keeping his yard looking well-manicured. He was happiest when frying fish for his family and friends and will be sorely missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Bettye Harper, and by a sister, Alice Toms. Survivors include; one daughter, Marsha Snell and husband Rick; one son, Scott Harper and wife Kim all of El Dorado; five grandchild­ren, Scott Snell and wife Britney, Todd Snell, Kate Cox and husband Keith, Jordan White and husband Cameron, and Cameron Harper; three great grandchild­ren; Logan Snell, Colson White, and Harper White. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at West Side Baptist Church, with Bro. Cody Lain and Bro. David Voss officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Wyatt-Parnell Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to, Penitas Baptist Church Food Pantry, P.O.
