School district accepts resignatio­ns; hires new personnel

EL DORADO – Five resignatio­ns were accepted and 20 persons were hired following an executive session of the El Dorado School Board Monday night.

They accepted resignatio­ns submitted by Chelsey Slack, El Dorado High School, journalism, effective July 21 to relocate; Devin Slack, EHS, social studies, effective July 21 to relocate; Craig O’Neal, Murmil, social studies, effective Aug. 1 for personal reasons; Trisha Staggs, Barton Junior High School, attendance clerk, effective July 19 for personal reasons and Melinda Miller, EHS, cafeteria worker, effective Aug. 1 for personal reasons. They authorized employment of the following: • Cecilia Chaves, Washington Middle School, math, began Aug. 1, new position, 16 years of experience, bachelor’s degree from Mindanao University in the Philippine­s.

• Dontoria Janell Aplin, Yocum Elementary, second grade, began Aug. 1, replaced Heather McKinnon, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.

• Martha Anne Oldham, Yocum, third grade, began Aug. 1, replaced Danielle King, no experience, bachelor’s degree from SAU.

• Demetria Guidry, EHS, family and consumer science, began July 25, replaced Sylvia Washington, no experience, bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

• Amy Claire Rabinowitz, Yocum, second grade, began Aug. 1, replaced Deborah Carroll, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.

• Lauren Martin, EHS, journalism, began Aug. 1, replaced Chelsea Slack, no experience, bachelor’s degree from SAU.

• Stephanie Spain, Retta Brown Elementary, second grade, began Aug. 1, replaced DeRonna Matthews, no experience, bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas.

• Hope Tarlton, district, speech/language pathologis­t, began Aug. 8, new position, no experience, master’s degree from Louisiana Tech.

• Shane Hemme, Washington Middle School, social studies, began Aug. 1, replaced Kristie Wisinger, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.

• Brady McDuffie, EHS, English, began Aug. 1, new position, two years experience, bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le.

• Ashley Davis, EHS, social studies, began Aug. 1, replaced Devin Slack, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Kean University.

• Mike LaRue, Murmil, dean of students, began July 25, replaced Greg Anthony, 33 years experience, master’s degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphi­a.

• Leah Anderson, EHS, social studies, began Aug. 1, replaced Nicholas Nelson, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Harding University in Searcy.

• Michael Hammock, Murmil, social studies, began Aug. 2, replaced Craig O’Neal, 11 years of experience, bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech.

• Catie Hendrickso­n, EHS, chemistry, began Aug. 1, replaced Rachel Hendrickso­n, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

• Samantha Schweickha­rdt, EHS, chemistry, began Aug. 1, replaced Karina Kozak, no experience, bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.

• Spencer Perzanowsk­i, EHS, English, began Aug. 1, replaced Jonathan Sutherland, who transferre­d to another position, no experience, bachelor’s degree from Northweste­rn Arizona University.

• Stephanie Thomas, EHS, consumer science, began July 25, replaced Bridget Crain, no experience, bachelor’s degree from UofA - Fayettevil­le.

• Solena Sayer, EHS, math, began Aug. 1, replaced Henry Larson, who transferre­d to another position, bachelor’s degree from SAU.

• Larry Yarbrough, Murmil, paraprofes­sional, to begin Aug. 15.
