Marie Torrence age 92 of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her home. Arrangements will be announced by Bailey Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gwendolyn McDowell, age 79, of Hwy 79 S, Emerson who died Monday, September 19, 2016 at home in Emerson will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 28 at Elm St. Church Of Christ, Hwy 79 S, Emerson, AR with Minister Floyd Miller officiating. Burial will follow in 23 Psalm Cemetery, Magnolia under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

Obituaries SUSAN CHRISTIAN
Susan James Christian, 69, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016.
Susan was born in El Dorado on Oct. 23, 1946, to the late David Randolph and Alice Baucum
James.
A lifelong music enthusiast, Susan participated in
Choir and Ensemble at Barton Junior
High followed by Oratorio Singers and Accordionettes at El Dorado High. She then graduated from Louisiana Tech with a degree in home economics, where she was a Kappa Delta. After earning her master’s degree, she worked as a registered clinical dietitian for over 25 years. A member of Shreveport Community Church, she annually performed in Songs of the Season, and she was dedicated to attending her weekly Bible study with her close friends. Susan had a passion and God-given talent for singing. More than anything, she adored her four grandchildren and loved making lasting memories with family and friends at her camp on Lake Darbonne.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her two brothers David Randolph “D. R.” James, Jr., and Mark Evan James; and her granddaughter Faith Elizabeth Andrews.
Survivors include her son David Louis Christian; daughter Allison Christian Andrews and husband Charlie; grandchildren Maggie Elizabeth Andrews, Sarah Christian Andrews, James Patrick Christian, and Matthew Coleman Christian; sister Mary Dell Wren; Louis and Faye Christian; and many cherished family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, from 2-4p.m., with services immediately following at 4p.m., in the Chapel of Osborn Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 11a.m., at Arlington Memorial Park in El Dorado.
Pallbearers will be James Christian, Andy Osborn, Todd Jones, Chris James, Charlie Andrews, and George “Buddy” Tolbert.
Susan will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched throughout her faithful, honorable life.
WILLIAM LAWRENCE
William Dayton Lawrence, 38 of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was born October 1, 1977 to Charles Wallace Lawrence and Jolene Worsham Lawrence Hall in El Dorado, AR.
He was a landscaper for June’s Lawn Care, a mechanic, a tattoo artist, and loved to fish. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, and was a loving husband, father, and son.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and sister, Tammy Wright.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Christina Murray Lawrence of El Dorado; brothers, Tim Lawrence (Tracy) of El Dorado, Joey Lawrence; two daughters, Anna Marie Bunker of El Dorado, Hannah Marie Lawrence of Monticello, AR; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016, at Northwest Baptist Church with Rev. Sye Duke officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
The family will be at the residence of Norman and Teena Fincher, Jr., 119 Old Murphy Rd. in El Dorado, AR.
