Deltic revises scheduled for third quarter conference call

EL DORADO — Deltic Timber Corp. has revised the scheduled start time of its conference call on Oct. 27, to review third quarter results, from the previously scheduled start time of 10 a.m. Central Time to now begin at 11:30 a.m. Central Time. Third quarter financial results will still be announced on Oct. 26, after the market closes. Interested parties may participat­e in the call by dialing 1-888-771-4371 and referencin­g passcode identifica­tion number 43540386 or by accessing through the Investor Relations section of the Deltic website at www.deltic.com. All investors, analysts, media and the general public are invited to participat­e.

Online replays of the call will be available through the Deltic website and a recording will be available three hours after the call until Nov. 3, by dialing 1-888-843-7419 and referencin­g replay passcode identifica­tion number 43540386#.

Ghost story contest planned

EL DORADO — The South Arkansas Poets of the Pines will host a “Ghost Story Contest,” at 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 at PJs on the square in downtown El Dorado.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the best performanc­e. A costume contest will also be held. Both events are part of the monthly Open Mic at PJs, according to Jim Barton. For more informatio­n, email Barton at jbob214@yahoo.com.

Sheppard presents plant-strong living

EL DORADO — Dr. James Sheppard of South Arkansas Medical Associates will present Plant-Strong Living, a free presentati­on at the South Arkansas Community College Library Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7. The event is open to the public.
