Bulldogs ready for Woodlawn

EL DORADO - For Strong, it may be a case of now or never.
Mired in a four-game losing streak, the Bulldogs head into Week 8 with a chance of making the playoffs, but must change their fortunes quickly if they are to do so.
Tonight, the Bulldogs will wrap up a four-game road trip by traveling to Woodlawn in what could amount to an elimination game.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Woodlawn.
If Strong (1-6, 0-3) can snap their losing streak and top Woodlawn (3-3, 0-3), it would set up a showdown next week with Parkers Chapel in Strong for the final playoff spot.
Should the Bulldogs lose, they would need to beat the Trojans just to force a potential three-way tie for the final spot going into the final week of the season.
Last week, the Bulldogs led Marked Tree 6-0 early and the game was tied at 6-all at intermission before the Indians pulled away in the second half.
The Bears have cooled off after a 3-0 start by dropping three straight.
A week ago, Woodlawn fell at Hampton 36-7.
Over the duration of their rivalry, history has favored Strong.
The Bulldogs swept a home-and-home series with the Bears last year, and have won their last four trips to Woodlawn dating back to 2010.
Defense was at the heart of Strong's success last year against the Bears, as the Bulldogs surrendered just eight points in the two games.
In their 28-0 win at home, Strong's defense scored one touchdown, set up another and allowed just 200 yards of total offense.
