FORDYCE - Parkers Chapel headed back to Fordyce Saturday to compete in the consolation round of the FBT Bank & Trust Tournament. The Trojans captured third place in the tournament with a 50-40 victory over Dollarway.

The Lady Trojans fell short against 5A Hot Springs Lakeside 48-16.

Parkers Chapel's boys improved to 4-1 on the season, despite falling behind 12-7 after one quarter. The Trojans outscored the Cardinals 26-14 in the second and third quarters to seize control.

Nate Garrett-Evans led the Trojans with 18 points with Dezmon Jackson contributing 12.

"It was a good bounce-back win for us after losing to Bearden," said PC coach Trey Lynch. "It feels a lot better to go 2-1 in these three-game tournaments than 1-2."

The Lady Trojans never got out of the blocks. Lakeside outscored PC 22-4 in the first quarter and led 32-8 at the half.

"We were just outmatched physically and athletically by a 5A team that's pretty good. We played hard but when you're playinga team that is athletic and talented as that, it exposes the things you don't do well. We're still trying to get some things fixed and they certainly gave us a lot to work on."

Bailey Norwood and Terri Malone led the Lady Trojans with seven and six points, respectively. Parkers Chapel fell to 1-3 on the season.

University of Arkansas tennis signee Tatum Rice led the Lady Rams (7-1) with 11 points while Daylyn Bellamy scored nine.
