Christmas is just around the corner. With black Friday in our rear view mirror, I am sure most of you have already gotten most of your gifts bought and possibly even wrapped.

I thought I had gotten all my shopping done, and I was going to avoid retail stores like the plague until after the holidays, when it hit me — I forget the stocking stuffers.

If you’re in the same boat, here are a couple of last minute stocking stuffer ideas that won’t break the bank.

Shopping for a child two years old or younger is one of the trickiest age groups to shop for. You have to be very conscious of what you are giving them.

When it comes to snacks for their stocking, I would suggest the apple sauce go packs that they can feed themselves with, Cheetos puffs, or yogurt melts.

You could also purchase sippy cups, plush animals, rattles and foam bath books for their stockings.

When it comes to shopping for kids’ stockings, the options are endless.

I like to get them one or two candies from WalMart. I try not to overload my son’s stocking with candy, so I also like to add fruit snacks or cheese crackers.

If you have older children, you may even consider a bag of beef jerky.

From there, I head straight to the Dollar Tree. You get plenty of cheap items to fill their stockings with.

Some of the things I like to recommend are bubbles, educational items like picture books or puzzles, and coloring books.

When your child gets in their teen years, stocking stuffers get a little trickier.

I would recommend getting a couple of tasty treats that your child loves.

From there you can really personalize it.

If your child loves to be artistic, get them a new set of colored pencils or pastels.

If they like fashion, look at buying them a new scarf.

If they love video games, get them a gift card to game stop, or a membership card for their console.

The options are endless, and you know what your child likes better than anyone.

Then you get to adults, who are surprisingly easy to shop for.

Get things they like or need.

Let’s say you have to shop for someone who loves coffee — buy them a new coffee mug. I would suggest one from TJ Maxx/ They are large, give you a lot of options, and they are only five dollars.

If you are shopping for someone who needs something to help them relax, an adult coloring book may be just the thing they need.

You can purchase one at the dollar store, or you can spend a little more money at Wal-Mart and buy one that is a better quality.

Some other things that you can get for anyone are hygiene items. Get the ones you love a new bottle of body wash, if they are young get one with their favorite cartoon character or superhero on it. If they’re an adult, get them one in a relaxing scent.

You can also add a new toothbrush, pack of socks, or underwear. Put items that they need in their stocking so they can open all the things they want in their presents.

The Christmas season can be one of the most hectic times of the year, and stocking stuffers are easy to forget until the last minute.

Hopefully, some of these tips can help you get inspired to buy the ones you love what they want for their stockings while not blowing your budget.
