Annual Civitan Auction scheduled for Monday
EL DORADO — Rounds of golf at Mystic Creek Golf Course, installed garage door opener, tires, weed eaters, watches, deep fryer, two hours of tree trimming, a bracelet, a recliner and numerous other items, expected to bring in around $14,000, will be up for auction during the 60th annual El Dorado Civitan TV Auction set to begin at 6 p.m. on Monday.
Mike Dumas, chair of the annual Civitan Auction, said over 140 items will be up for auction this year – everything from gift certificates, to flowers, jewelry, contracts for pest control and furniture – and will be sold to the highest bidder. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the South Arkansas Developmental Center for Children and Families.
The auction is conducted every year at Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado and Dumas said the auction can be accessed on broadcast channel 5 and cable channel 14 and will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until all items are sold. Auction gold sponsors are First Financial Bank, Young’s Funeral Directors of Distinction and Les Chandler Agency and blue sponsor is Evers Cox and Gober CPA. White sponsors are Teague Auto Group and Southern Bancorp Bank.
