Razorbacks top Bulldogs 13-10

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech fell for the first time on Wednesday afternoon, as No. 20 Arkansas came from behind to defeat the Bulldogs 13-10 at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

Tyler Follis made his first career start and went four innings, striking out three and give up two earned runs.

Six Louisiana Tech pitchers saw action in the game.

Louisiana Tech put up ten runs in the first two innings, as the Bulldogs got big blows from Chase Lunceford, Sean Ullrich and Brent Diaz.

The three combined for seven RBIs over the first three innings.

The Bulldogs blasted two home runs in the first inning off of the bats of Diaz and Lunceford.

The Bulldogs put up a seven-spot in the second inning, without the use of the long ball.

Ullrich had two extra base hits in the inning, a double and a triple, while Jordan Washam and Lunceford also had RBI hits to help drive the inning.

After two innings, Louisiana Tech held a 10-1 lead.

Arkansas would chip away inning by inning to come all the way back and more.

The Hogs scored 12 unanswered runs to complete the comeback.

Jordan McFarland provided the go-ahead blow with a two-run homer in the seventh, one of five home runs hit as a team in the game.

Grant Koch, Jax Biggers, Luke Bonfield and Dominic Fletcher also homered for the Razorbacks.

Barrett Loeske was credited with the win for Arkansas, pitching four scoreless innings and striking out seven.

The loss snaps a 15-game home winning streak for the Bulldogs, who were one of seven teams in college baseball to have an undefeated record.

The crowd of 2,901 was the sixth highest attendance for a game in program history.

Louisiana Tech will be back in action on Friday night when they host unbeaten Wichita State for a three-game series.

Arkansas also returns to action on Friday when they take on Arizona on the first day of the Frisco College Classic.
