El Dorado freshmen finish fourth at Sheridan Relays

SHERIDAN - El Dorado's boys freshman track team recently took home a fourth-place finish at the Sheridan Relays.

Benton won the 15-team event with 141 points, while Magnolia was second with 111 points and Bryant was third with 92 points.

The Wildcats were next with 72 points. Sheridan was fifth. El Dorado had several first-place finishes with Neekco Davis snaring two of them.

Davis won the 200meter run with a time of 24.79, and he also won the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches.

Devante Yarbrough delivered a first-place finish in the 400-meter run at 54.69, and he had solid performanc­es in other events as well.

Yarbrough was part of El Dorado's first-place winning team in the 4x100 relay team, combining with Williem Artis, Devunte Kidd and Clasine Miller to clock a time of 46.01.

Yarbrough was also a member of the 4x400 team that came in fourth place, teaming with Artis, Davis and Jamal Norman.

Yarbrough added a sixth-place finish in the long jump and a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter run.

Kidd also had a solid meet for the Wildcats.

Kidd finished second in the long jump, as well as third in both the 100 and 200-meter runs.

Devarious Bell rounded out the Wildcats with a seventh-place finish in the triple jump.
