Lady Cats crush Lady Rams

EL DORADO - El Dorado hammered out 16 hits Monday in a comfortabl­e 16-1 victory over Hot Springs Lakeside at the El Dorado Recreation Complex. The Lady Wildcats improved to 9-7 overall and 3-1 in district play.

El Dorado scored five in the first, four in the second and six in the third before ending the game with a run in the fourth inning.

“It was just good to finally get a win that wasn’t a close game,” said El Dorado coach Chris Ezell. “It feels like we’ve been playing so many good opponents, we were finally able to let loose.”

Grace Hargett was the winning pitcher, limiting the Lady Rams to just three hits and one walk while fanning seven in four innings.

Kelsey Howard led the hit parade, going 4-for-4 with four runs and one RBI. Marissa Rice went 2-for-4 and drove in five runs. Sally Walthall had two hits and three RBI. Allyson Silmon was 2-for-4 with one RBI and Payton Scarlett was 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Tristen Lewis had a hit witih two runs and two RBI. Syndi Crisalli had a hit and two RBI. Taylor Mayo and Laraan Simmons each went 1-for-3.

The Lady Wildcats will meet Nashville at SAU’s stadium in Magnolia today at 4:30 p.m.

Smackover 15, Drew Central 0

SMACKOVER - Mallory Brewer tossed a no-hitter Monday as the Lady Bucks blanked the Lady Pirates in three innings. Smackover improved to 22-2 on the season.

Brewer struck out five and hit one batter.

2-for-2, including a grand slam in the Lady Bucks’ 11-run first inning. Karli Goocher was 2-for2 with two runs and two RBI. Sabrina Estridge was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three stolen bases.

Smackover travels to Junction City today.

Parkers Chapel 19, Nevada 1

PARKERS CHAPEL - The Lady Trojans opened the first game of a doublehead­er with a four-inning win over the Lady Bluejays. Savannah Slaughter had two hits, including a grand slam, which ended the game in the fourth. Slaughter drove in five runs.

Allison Rogers stroked a tworun homer in the third.

Bailey Norwood was 2-for-3

with a double and a RBI. Savannah Jones had a double and two RBI. Courtney Phelps had a double and drove in a run. Kylie Jones went 1-for-3 at the plate.

Phelps was the winning pitcher, allowing just two hits and no walks while striking out 10 in four innings in the circle.

Parkers Chapel 15, Nevada 0

PARKERS CHAPEL - Phelps allowed just one hit with four strikeouts in a three-inning win to complete the doublehead­er sweep. The Lady Trojans improved to 15-5 on the season.

Kenlee McAuliffe was 2-for2 with two doubles, offensivel­y. Phelps drove in a run with a double. Slaughter and Kaylin Waller each had a hit and drove in a run. Jones was 1-for-2.

Parkers Chapel is scheduled to host Spring Hill today.
