Reminder of Services HARVEY B. OWENS
Harvey Byron Owens, 83, of El Dorado passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Hopewell Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
EUNICE SHERMAN
Services for Eunice Sherman, 82, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Friendship Baptist Church, the Rev. Fletcher J. Thomas, pastor. Interment will follow at the Friendship Cemetery in Bernice/ Shiloh. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday April 21, 2017 at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, Louisiana.
ANNIE SMITH
Annie Smith, 65, of Strong passed away on April 4, 2017.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22 at Curry Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Strong. Interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Strong. Services have been entrusted to Paradise Funeral Home in Bernice, Louisiana.
Obituaries EDDIE C. WALTERS SR.
Eddie C. Walters Sr., 68, died on March 31, 2017 at his home in Homer, Louisiana.
Born on Feb. 15, 1949 in Commerce, Texas, he was preceded in death by his parents, C.V. and Imogene Walters; a brother C.E. Walters; and his wife, Janice Walters.
He retired from H & E Construction with partner and beloved friend, Henry Moore.
Survivors include his fiance, Wanda Smith; brother James R. Walters; sisters, Edith
Moss and Carolyn Hill of El Dorado and Dorthy Hutchison of California; two sons, Eddie C.
Walters Jr., and Chris (Jennifer) George of El Dorado; one daughter, Janet (John) Parker of Calion; step-son, Joey Johnson; grandchildren, Rachel George, John (Kelsey) Parker Jr., Lacie George, Tristan George, Tyler Walters, Eddie James Walters, and Tyler Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Allen Cole George.
A memorial will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on April 23 at their home at 775 Peterson Road Lot 67 in Homer.
Any donations can be made to cancer research or the Hospice Foundation.
The family would like to thank Eddie’s best friend, Glenn Ferguson (Rocky), for his love and support during this difficult time and to Dr. Samuel Abshire and staff for going above and beyond.
