City Reports

On April 15, officers responded to a report of a disturbanc­e 1019 Harrison. A woman told police that her sister struck her during an argument and knocked her to the ground. A witness said that after she pulled the victim’s sister off her, the victim’s aunt struck the victim in the chest, knocking her back to the ground.

City Arrests

• Kachera L. Landers, also known as Kachera Burgie, 46, of 509 N. Washington, was arrested Tuesday for forgery, theft of property, and an Arkansas Parole Board warrant for parole violation. Landers was identified as a suspect in an attempted forgery that was reported at BancorpSou­th, 1510 N. West Ave. A bank employee said Landers attempted to cash a personal check in the amount of $450 in the driver-through window. The employee said she contacted the account holder, who said the check was not authorized. The account holder said Landers previously worked for her but had been terminated. The employee said Landers was a passenger inside the vehicle in the drive-through. She was taken into custody without incident, police said.

• Kandi D. Jones, 35, of 401 Claremont, was arrested Monday on a warrant for failure to comply with reporting and registrati­on requiremen­ts (failure to register as a sex offender).

• John Williams, 56, of 2308 Helena, was arrested Monday for possession of crack cocaine and obstructin­g government operations. Officers said Williams was a passenger in a vehicle they stopped in the 2000 block of Ripley, and he initially provided a false name. Police said Williams was asked to exit the vehicle, and they found five small rocks of crack cocaine inside a can of smokeless tobacco underneath the front passenger seat where he had been sitting.

• Jeffery O’Guinn Sr., 53, of 1925 Detroit, was arrested Monday on an Arkansas Parole Board warrant for parole violation.

• Anthony J. Lytle, 39, 142 Union 769, was

arrested Monday for possession of methamphet­amine, possession of drug parapherna­lia, fictitious license plates, no driver’s license, and no liability insurance. Police said they conducted a traffic stop in the area of 1400 block of Robert E. Lee, near Hinson Road, after initially spotting a vehicle pull out out a driveway without its headlights on in the area of College and First. After the vehicle stopped in the 1400 block of Robert E. Lee near Hinson Road, police said they saw an object “fly” from the passenger’s window. Officers recovered the object, a box containing methamphet­amine, syringes, a glass smoking pipe, push rod and metal spoon. Lytle later admitted that he had thrown an object from the passenger’s window. Officers said they also found a plastic bag containing a small amount of methamphet­amine inside Lytle’s vehicle and vile with meth residue inside his front left pocket.
